Switzerland and Azerbaijan improve bilateral economic ties - Philipp Stalder

“Switzerland is interested in development of economic ties with Azerbaijan,” the Embassy of Switzerland to the Republic of Azerbaijan Philipp Stalder told Eurasia Diary
Philip Stalder said that Switzerland is an export-oriented country and aims to extend its economic cooperation with other countries. Commenting on Eurasia Diary’s question, Philipp Stalder stated that today’s trade turnover between two countries is $200 thousand million.
“Switzerland is mostly cooperating with Azerbaijan in tourism and agricultural spheres. I hope in the future there will be direct flights between two countries and this will contribute to improve bilateral economic ties.”
Stalder also mentioned that upcoming the 48th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Switzerland will bring more opportunities for both countries to discuss future prospects of Switzerland-Azerbaijan economic cooperation.  
Meanwhile the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting will take place on 23-26 January in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, will convene under the theme, "Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World".
